Edward McAdam, 69, of Kanah Court, died suddenly, Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, where he was a member, with Father Al Gondek officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in National Cemetery, Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. McAdam was born July 30, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, to Walter Edward McAdam and Audrey Cecilia Sayers McAdam. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a retired transport operator. Mr. McAdam was also a member of Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter McAdam.
Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Gail Paulson McAdam of the home; sons, Glenn McAdam and wife, Jennifer, of Virginia, Frank McAdam and wife, Adrienne, of Thomasville, and Timothy McAdam and wife, Lisa, of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; brother, Dennis McAdam and wife, Barbara, of Warner Robins, Ga.; and sister-in-law, Joan McAdam of Tryon.
