Edward Irvin Spencer

Edward Irvin Spencer, 58, of Riverview Road Ext. died Saturday October 20, 2012 at the home of his daughter after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday October 25, 2012 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Eugene Cassada officiating. Burial will follow. Mr. Spencer was born September 27, 1954 in Kennebec County Maine, to Horace Spencer and Audrey Brown Spencer. He was employed with Walmart, and was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served in the US Army. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife Berta Ricker Spencer of the home, a son Adam Ray Spencer of Thomasville, a daughter, Brandy Spencer of Lexington, a brother William Scott Spencer and wife Debbie of South Carolina, and five grandchildren; Amber Spencer, Amanda Spencer, Brittany Duncan, Edward I. Spencer and Brenda Spencer. The family will receive friends from 11:45 am to 1:45 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of the daughter on East 12th Avenue.
