Edward Albert Varner

Edward “Eddie” Albert Varner, 67, of Davidson County, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Pilgrim Reformed Church, with Rev. Richard Moore officiating.

Eddie was born on May 27, 1958, in Davidson County, to the late Albert Sheets Varner Jr. and Linda Loretta Shaw Varner. He worked for many years as a truck driver for various companies, eventually retiring from Varner’s Trucking.

He enjoyed the simple things in life, taking it slowly and living through each moment. His favorite way to spend his time was by working on his truck and fixing it up. Giving it new life brought him pride and joy in having given it diligent attention. The quiet peace of simplicity is where he truly found his place.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his cousins, Lawrence Varner and Diane Varner Sink (John).
