Edward Workman

Edward Buford Workman, 88, of Indian Wells Circle, Lexington NC, died Saturday August 25, 2012 at the Hinkle Hospice Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday August 29, 2012 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Tom King officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at their home on Indian Wells Circle. Mr. Workman was born January 4, 1924 in Howell County, Missouri to Earl Clayton Workman and Virginia Toler Workman. He was owner and President of Edward B. Workman and Associates and a member of Grace Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, William “Bud” Workman and a daughter, Virginia “Kitty” Workman. Surviving are his wife, Anita Workman of the home, a son; Edward ‘Eddie” Workman of Lexington, a daughter, Toler “ Bunny” Workman Ratledge and husband James of Raleigh, a step son, Lee Austin, eleven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Raghava and the nursing staff in the critical care department at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.
