Edwin "Bud" Sherrill Wilson

Edwin Sherrill “Bud” Wilson, 77, of Bill Lohr Rd., Lexington died Sunday Sept. 7, 2014 in Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Bowen and Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Mr. Wilson was born July 2, 1937 in Davidson County to Sherrill Frank Wilson and Annie McCrary Wilson. He was a lineman for Pike Electric and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Louise Furr Wilson, a brother, Roy Wilson and two sisters, Betty Beck and Virginia “June” Bolin. Surviving are two daughters, Tracy Wilson Ball (Steve) of Thomasville and Robin Wilson Floyd of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Nikki Houchins and Madison Floyd; a brother, Larry Wilson (Idella) of Moreno Valley, CA; two sisters, Martha “Pat” Crouse of Lexington, NC and Sarah “Sis” Simmons (David) of Charlotte, NC; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Betty Lashmit. Flowers will be accepted or memorials to the donor’s choice.
