Edwin Perryman

Edwin Perryman, 82, of Long Perryman Road, Winston Salem, died Saturday, January 31, at Lexington Health Care. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 3, at Midway United Methodist Church with Rev John Woods Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Perryman was born February 21, 1926 in Davidson County to J. Elmer Perryman and Nova Wagner Perryman. He retired from AT &T and was a lifelong member of Midway Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the infantry during World War II. He was also a charter member of the Midway Fire Department. His son, Ronald Perryman preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hilda Eller Perryman of the home; his daughter, Hedi Perryman Priest and husband, John Gilbert Priest, III of Midway; his brother, Linley Perryman and wife, Louella, of Winston Salem; his sister, Mary Hunter of Midway; his grandchildren, Rebecca Priest, and Michael Perryman Priest; and, Colleen Podfigurney and husband, Marc; and his great grandchildren, Jakob and Conor Podfigurney. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the Midway United Methodist Church Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Midway United Methodist Church Building Fund 9795 Old Hwy 52 Lexington, North Carolina.
