Edwin Thomas 65, of Gumtree Road , Winston Salem died Saturday at his home. A Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday May 14, 2008 at Hebron United Church of Christ. The service will be conducted by Rev. Michael Gates. Mr. Thomas was born March 10, 1943 in Davidson County to Howard Adam Thomas and Cleve Nifong Thomas. He was the owner and operator of Triad Landscape and Supply. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife of 44 years Iola Motsinger Thomas of the home; son Rodney Thomas and wife Donna of Winston Salem; daughter, Sherri Thomas Goss and husband Mark of China Grove; mother, Cleve Nifong Thomas of Winston Salem; sister, Emily Reaves and husband Randy of Lexington; grandchildren, Ethan Goss and Mollie Goss of China Grove; step grandchildren, Christy Nelson, Scott Brendle, Derrick Barnes. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday May 13, 2008 at Davidson Funeral Home – Hickory Tree Chapel and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Pallative Care Centers of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Other memorials can be made to donors choice.
