Efrain Scottie Gutierrez, 13, of U.S. Highway 64 West, died Thursday, March 16, 2006.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Revs. Eddie Bodsord and Michael Franklin. Burial will be in Psalm 91 Church Cemetery.
Scottie was born in Davidson County on Nov. 15, 1992, to Oscar Efrain Gutierrez and Kimberly Callaway Gutierrez. He attended Trinity Baptist Church in Mocksville and was a student at Tyro Middle School. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Loraine Roberts Hunt; his grandfathers, Frances Dane Callaway and Efrain Oscar Gutierrez; and his uncle, Jose Alfredo Gutierrez.
Surviving are his father, Oscar Efrain Gutierrez of Lexington; his mother and stepfather, Kimberly Callaway and Juan Gutierrez of the home; two brothers, Joseph Hedrick and Juan Gutierrez, both of the home; one sister, Anjelica Gutierrez of the home; grandparents Connie Hunt Watts and her husband, Curtis, of Toccoa, Ga., and Maria Rufelio Valdez of Mexico; and a great-grandfather, David Ciscero Hunt.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
