Elaine Marie Brelsford Harwood

Elaine Marie Brelsford Harwood 53, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Wednesday August 22, 2018 Forsyth Medical Center.   Elaine was born April, 15, 1965 to Roy and Lenora Ahrens Brelsford in Cook, Illinois.  She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Harwood, of the home; four sons, Jeffrey Brown, of New York; Matthew Brown, Jared Harwood, and Nicholas Brown of Winston-Salem; her mother, Lenora Brelsford of Lexington; a brother, Robert Brelsford(Latisha) of Lexington; and three sisters, Lenora Lawler(Douglas) of Abington, VA; Susan Little(Tony) of Charlotte, NC and Carol Garris (Jeff) of Clemmons, NC.  Elaine was active and thoroughly enjoyed working with the Children’s Ministry programming at Mt Carmel UMC Church.   A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Mt. Carmel UMC (4265 Ebert Road, Winston-Salem, NC) with Pastor Mary Miller officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.  Memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel UMC Children’s Ministry, 4265 Ebert Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127  Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Harwood Family.
