Elaine Hester

Elaine Hester, age 77 of Pleasant Hill Road, died Saturday, January 15, 2022, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, Lexington, NC. Burial will follow at National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am till 11:00 am prior to the service and other times at the home of her son on Maple Court, Lexington.

Mrs. Hester was born June 9, 1944, in Wilkinson County, Mississippi to George Porter Wingrove and Constance Leonard Wingrove. Elaine worked as a CNA and was of the Presbyterian Faith. She loved spending time with family and her grandchildren. She loved history and Genealogy, British TV Shows, reading and antiques. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ronald William Hester Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald W. Hester Jr. and wife Patricia, James D. Hester, both of Lexington, one brother; Edward Wingrove (Wanda), two sisters; Georgia Coble, Connie Hogan (Herman), two grandchildren; Copelin Hester (Taylor), Payton Hester and one great-grandchild, Paisley Hester.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Davidson County Humane Society, 1120 Piedmont Drive, Lexington, NC 27295.
