Elaine Bean Kinney

Elaine Bean Kinney, 80, of N.C. Highway 8 South, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Kinney was born in Davidson County on Jan. 28, 1927, to William McCartie Bean and Mamie Belle Musgrave Bean. She was a retired employee of Link-Taylor Furniture and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Hudson Kinney, in 1995; one brother, Harold "Jack" Bean; and two sisters, Virginia Doman and Edith Bulla. Surviving are one daughter, Roberta Lane Echerd and her husband, Jack, of Lexington; two grandchildren, Melissa Smith and her husband, Cecil, and Randy Bulla and his wife, Tiffany; and two great-grandchildren, Heather Smith and Jessica Smith. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, 6945 N.C. Highway 8 South.
