Elaine Burris Ward

Elaine Burris Ward, age 85 of Buena Vista Drive, Lexington passed away Friday  September 21, 2018 at her home.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday September 26, 2018 in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Pastor Mike Hillard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday night.

Elaine was born in Cabarrus County, NC May 28, 1933 to Henry Burris and Mabel Clayton Burris. She retired from Lexington Drug Store where she was employed for many years. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Enos Dwight Ward; sisters, Juanita Gavion and Charlotte Burkhart; brothers, Hoyle Burris and William Burkhart;

Surviving are her daughter, Beverly Mason of Lexington; sons, Stuart Ward (Grace), Kevin Ward (Kim) and Eric Ward (Tracy) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Brad Mason (Natasha), Joshua Mason (Becky), Jennifer Ward, Tiffany Frickey (Michael), Chelsea Strickland (Jeffrey), Carson Ward, Abby Ward and Elaina Ward; great-grandchildren, Haddasah Mason, Judah Mason, Daniel Mason, Hannah Mason, Liberty Mason, Leah Mason, Eden Mason and Elijah Mason; sisters, Shirley Long and Connie McCarn both of Lexington; brother, Garland Burkhart (Violet of Lexington.
