Eldred Marcine Hilliard

Eldred Marcine Whiteside Hilliard, 81, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at her home.

A graveside service will be held 10 AM Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hilliard was born November 30, 1941, in Clover, South Carolina, to Asbury Noah Whiteside and Mary Elizabeth Williams Younts. She worked at Leonard Cleaners for 49 years and attended Wesley Heights United Methodist Church. Eldred loved dogs and planting flowers in her garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Hilliard; and two sisters, Frances Yountz and Carolyn Leonard.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Debra Smith (Ricky) of Lexington; two sisters, Jewell Whiteside Hamlet of Lexington, and Fleta Younts of Lexington; two grandchildren, Tabitha Parker (Joey) of Georgia, and Christopher Smith of Colorado; and her canine companion, Tori.
