Eleanor Alice Gregory Gunter, 76, of Jones Drive, Winston-Salem, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at the Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Oak Forest United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jacqueline Tookey officiating. Entombment will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gunter was born Dec. 23, 1930, in Patrick, Va., to Edward Duncan Gregory and Mary Alice Massey Gregory. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Columbus Gregory, Ralph Gregory and Guy Gregory; and sisters, Lessie Thomason, Kathleen Gunter and Daisy Byrd.
Surviving are her husband James Winfred Gunter of the home; sons, Wesley Gunter of Welcome, Everette Gunter of Massachusetts and Stewart Gunter of Welcome; daughters, Teresa Gunter of Wilmington, Kathryn Snow of Winston-Salem and Amy Gage of Winston-Salem; brothers, Jess Gregory, James Gregory, Paul Gregory and Thomas Gregory all of Virginia; sister, Myrtle Gregory of Virginia; and 14 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Davidson Funeral Home - Hickory Tree Chapel.
