Elizabeth Edwards Byerly

Elizabeth Ann Edwards Byerly, 76, passed away, Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, May 3 at Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church with James Messer, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC.

Elizabeth was born February 1, 1948, in Carroll County, VA to Aldi and Lydia Edwards.  She was a member of Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband, Paul Byerly; her sister, Hazel Owens and brother-in-law Jerry Owens, her sister-in-law Burna Edwards, and brother-in-law Ray Barnes.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Jeffrey Campbell (Tammy Rich) and James Billy Campbell, both of Lexington; grandchildren, Dusty Campbell, Jessica Staten, Colby Campbell, and Casey Campbell; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kinsley Staten, Kaylee Staten, and Scarlett House, brothers, Junior Edwards (Crickett), Kenneth Edwards, and Estil Edwards (Gail), and her sisters, Faye Barnes and Gloria Morrison (Jerry).

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church.
