Elizabeth “Lib” Rebecca Truesdale Hendrix, age 90 died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Carillon Assisted Living in Salisbury. A resident of Garden Place at Carillon Assisted Living in Salisbury, NC she was formerly of Lexington. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2007 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Lindquist and Rev. Jill Alventosa-Brown officiating. Mrs. Hendrix was born November 8, 1916 in Kershaw County, SC to G.C. Truesdale, Sr. and Hettie Blanche Denton Truesdale. She married Crawford Thomas Hendrix, December 11, 1937, who preceded her in death who died February 25, 1996, and her sister, Teresa Fletcher. She was a homemaker, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Thomas Cleveland Hendrix and wife, Jennie Lee Satterfield Hendrix of Edisto Island, SC; daughters, Rachel Elizabeth Hendrix, Lynne Hendrix Leonard and husband Ronald D. Leonard all of Lexington, NC. Four grandchildren, LeeAnn Wagner and husband Tobey Wagner of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Gregg Hendrix and wife, Wendy Hendrix of Lexington, SC; Sarah L. Leonard and Jacob D. Leonard of Lexington, NC; seven great-grandchildren, Drew, Katie, Rebecca and Caroline Wagner of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Grant, Sarah and Claire Hendrix of Lexington, SC, brothers, G.C. Truesdale, Jr. and wife Libba and Mike Truesdale and wife, Pat all of Heath Springs, SC, sisters: Grace Croxton of Kershaw, SC, Nelrae Bostick of Irmo, SC, sister-in-law Ival Brannon of Easley, SC. Special friends who were almost like family – Anita, Mike and Emily Hodge, Marsden Gilbert, Monica Wampler and Michael Kittner. Special thanks to Mac Herring and the staff of Rowan Regional Home Health and Hospice and the staff of Carillon Assisted Living. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Friday at the church prior to the service and other times at the home of the daughter, Lynne Leonard, 421 Pinnix Drive, Lexington.
