Elizabeth Leonard Myers

August 10, 1918 — October 28, 2014

Elizabeth Leonard Myers age 96 of Brookstone Retirement Center formerly of W. Hwy 64 passed away Tuesday October 28, 2014 at Brookstone. A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel conducted by Rev. Frankie Matthews with burial to follow. The family will receive friends after the service and at other times at the home of her daughter on Forest Hill Road. Mrs. Myers was born in Davidson County to John Baxter Leonard and Pearl Hedrick Leonard. She was a retired dietician in the cafeteria at Sheets Memorial Christian School and also worked in the Daycare. She was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church and a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. Her parents, husband John Frank Myers and six Great Grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, Amanda, Nathan, Bethany and David Michael Burch all preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Leonard, J.D. Leonard and Forrest Leonard , a sister, Margaret Leonard and a daughter in law Pam Couch Myers Surviving are her sons: Jay Frank Myers (Patricia)and Kevin Dale Myers all of Lexington. Daughters: Carole Shoaf (Charles F.) Kaye Myers all of Lexington and Patricia McCullough (Jerry) of Mocksville. Grandchildren: Charles E. Shoaf (Pat), Joel Shoaf (Beverly), Lori Shoaf Smith (Larry Jr.), Beth Shoaf Davis (Paul), Julie McCullough Burch (David) and Brad McCullough (Dawn). Great Grandchildren: Charles L. Shoaf, Kathryn Shoaf, Daniel Shoaf, Joseph Shoaf, Sarah Shoaf, Courtney Smith, Brittany Smith, Trey Smith, Joshua Davis, Allison Davis, Ethan Burch, Kayla Burch, Anna McCullough and Amber McCullough.
