Elizabeth (Lib) Mcdowell Lookabill

Elizabeth (Lib) McDowell Lookabill age, 89 transitioned to her heavenly home Friday evening at Hinkle Hospice House. A celebration of her life will be at 11:00 am Tuesday June 18th 2024, at Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. A burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family will see friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Lib was born July 12th 1934 in Wayne County NC to Albert McDowell and Neva Elizabeth Rollins McDowell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her wonderful husband Alfred Conrad Lookabill and a sister; Betty McDowell. She loved her family and was one of the most kind and loving giving souls to all who knew her. She enjoyed many years as Treasurer of Tyro United Methodist Church, Secretary of United Methodist Woman’s Western NC Conference and all her customers at Lexington State Bank where she retired. Lib leaves behind daughters: Sharon Lookabill & Julie White ( Joe ), grandchildren: Austin, Alex and Asa, a sister: Judy McDowell.
