Elizabeth "Lib" Evans Samuels

March 17, 1925 — January 31, 2018

Mrs. Elizabeth Evans Samuels, of Woodhaven Drive, died Wednesday, January 31 at her home.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM  Saturday, February 3 at First United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Jill Alventosa Brown.  A private burial will be held at Lexington City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship Hall Mrs. Samuels was born March 17, 1925 in Davidson County to Nathan Lafayette Evans and Vera Sink Evans. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Spruill Sunday school class, United Methodist Women, Bereavement committee and various other committees of the church. Her parents; husband, Dedrick Forrest Samuels, Sr. and brother, N.L. Evans preceded her in death.  She is survived by her son, Dedrick “Rick” Samuels, Jr. and wife, Libby of Lexington; her daughter, Donna Samuels of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Carrie Samuels Sanders (Noah) of Burlington, Forrest Samuels, III of Asheville and Anna Samuels of Lexington; her great grandchildren, Savanna, Sadie and Sara; sister-in-law, Deedie Walser Evans.
