Elizabeth Griggs Spaugh

Elizabeth Griggs Spaugh 81 of Main Street, Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. Richard Payne officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Elizabeth was born in Forsyth County on August 11, 1932 to Sparford Cleveland Griggs and Katherine Bowman Griggs. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Billy (Bill) Monroe Spaugh who died December 11, 2013. Surviving are two sons, Willam Allen Spaugh (Susanne) of Arcadia, Eddy Grey Spaugh of Harkers Island, NC; daughter, Suzan Baker (Leon) of Winston-Salem and a sister, Munsel Fields (Bill) of Durham; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three special friends, Mary Widener, Christina Jackson and Nina Oldham. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
