Elizabeth Ann Starbuck

Elizabeth Ann Starbuck 74 passed away Sunday January 23, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. A graveside celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Pastors Jay Bowers and Jonathan Goodman. The family will see friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. The Church ask that masks be worn while inside the fellowship hall.

She was preceded by her parents, Max and Mae Starbuck and a brother, Joe  Starbuck. Miss Starbuck was a graduate of North Davidson High School and Pembroke University. She taught public school  for over 30 years primarily at Wallburg Elementary. Ann was instrumental in the establishment of the Oak Forest United Methodist Church after school program. Until her health began to decline, she enjoyed sharing her skills and talents with friends, her church and community. Playing cards, reading and crocheting were among her favorite pastimes.

Surviving are her sister in law Pam Starbuck of Advance. Her nephew Justin Starbuck  and wife Crystal of Charlotte and a great nephew, Landen Starbuck.
