Elizabeth Pauline Walser Byerly 78 of Advance passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Bermuda Commons. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. John C. Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope United Methodist Church cemetery following the service.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pauline was born in Davidson County on December 8, 1937 to the late Olin and Eliza Catherine Walser. She retired from Young & Hinkle Furniture in Lexington and was a homemaker. She loved rose gardens and all other flowers, canning pickles and other things. She loved playing Bingo. She was from the Reedy Creek community and was of Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Matthew “Jack” Byerly; brother; Junior Walser, sister, Thelma Pickle; great grand-daughter, Aleigha Grace Crotts.
Surviving is sons, Eddie Byerly of Clemmons, Buck Byerly (Renee) of Kernersville, Terry Ray Byerly of Clemmons, Freddie Lee Byerly (Angie) of Clemmons; a daughter, Teresa Ann Byerly Crotts of Mocksville; four grandchildren, Matthew Crotts (Ashley) of Mocksville, Christopher Crotts of Cooleemee, D.J. Byerly of Kernersville, Kimberly Byerly Burchette (Karmon) of Kernersville; three great grandchildren, Matthew Jackson Crotts of Mocksville, Cloey Patton Crotts of Cooleeme, Jaxson Burchette of Kernersville and 2 step great grandchildren, Shawn Tritt and Dee Anna Tritt of Mocksville. Sisters: Betty Weaver and Elsie Yarbrough of Lexington and Marie Grubb of Welcome. Also surviving are a brother, Steve Walser of Lexington
