Ellen Smith Benfield

Ellen Smith Benfield, age 79 of Graybriar Nursing Home Trinity, formerly of High Point passed away Sunday morning at Graybriar. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (4-22-2009) at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Doug McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Arrington Heights Cemetery. Ellen was born in Davidson County, February 9, 1930 to Henderson Alexander Smith and Fallie Sain Smith. She was a retired employee of Thomason Furniture and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are: Husband, Lee Vern Benfield of Trinity; one sister, Nellie Smith Jarvis of Lexington; one brother, William “Bill” Smith of Lexington; several nieces and nephews.
