Ellen Kepley Younts

February 12, 1928 — March 21, 2010

Ellen Kepley Younts, age 82 of Lexington Health Care formerly of South County Home Road, Lexington passed away Sunday (March 21, 2010) at Hinkle Hospice House.  Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Second Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Joe D. Coltrane officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Wednesday, prior to the service in the church parlor.   Mrs. Younts was born in Davidson County, February 12, 1928 to Charlie L. Kepley and Esther Hancock Kepley.  She was a homemaker and a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Homer Smith Younts.   Surviving are; one daughter, Debbie Harrison and husband Tony of Lexington; one son, Doug Younts and wife Lisa of Lexington; four grandchildren, Megan Younts, and Jacob Younts both of Lexington, Lorraine Emory and husband Lyn of Colorado Springs, CO and Sharon Hinesley and husband Scott of Charlotte; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Beck and husband Howard and Rachel Burkhart all of Lexington; three brothers, Joe Kepley and wife Betty of Virginia, John Kepley and wife Judy of Lexington and Jack Kepley and wife Margie of Summerfield.   Memorials should be directed to the A. Odell Leonard Scholarship Fund, c/o Second United Church of Christ, 330 North Church Street, Lexington, NC  27292   The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Health Care and Hinkle Hospice House for all the love and care given Mrs. Younts during her illness.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
