Elmer Lee Cooper

Elmer Lee Cooper, 91, of Green Meadows Dr., Lexington passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Cooper was born April 25, 1924, in Davidson County, to Thomas Franklin Cooper and Beulah Mae Walser Cooper. He was retired from Link Taylor with 39 years of service and a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Polly Cooper; his daughter, Leigh Ann Kurtz; his brother, Lawrence Monroe Cooper; and two sisters, Vernie Berrier and Ruth Newsome. Surviving are his Grandchildren, Brittany Martin and husband Micah, Riley Kurtz and Wesley Kurtz; one great-grandson, Titus James Martin; and one son in law, Scott Kurtz and wife Karen.
