Elmer Grady Leonard

Elmer Grady Leonard, 91, of West Center Street Ext. in Lexington, passed away Saturday November 20, 2021 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Beulah United Church of Christ  with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating services.

The family receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Elmer was born May 12, 1930 in Davidson County to Carl Grady Leonard and Jennie Lee Koontz Leonard. In his spare time he enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing and playing cards. Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Norma Jean Ladd Leonard a brother, Elden Leonard and two sisters, Daily Michael and Sudie Berrier.

Surviving is his son William Leonard (Jane) of the home; two daughters, Linda Spry of Lexington and Peggy Singletary (David) of Boone; a sister, Gracie Shepard (Roy) of Lexington; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House 200 Hospice Way Lexington NC 27292.
