Elmo Luther Rhodes, 90, of Rhodes Road, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem after being in declining health for one month.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by Dr. Beverly Fulbright and the Rev. Sharon Snow. Burial will follow in the cemetery of Beck's Reformed Church, where he was a member.
Mr. Rhodes was born Nov. 11, 1915, in Davidson County to Andrew Luther Rhodes and Maudy Alice Kepley Rhodes. He was retired from Dixie Furniture and was preceded in death by his brother, Gilmer Rhodes.
Surviving is his wife, Mildred Gertrude Dry Rhodes of the home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home and other times at 406 Lakewood Drive in Lexington.
