Eloise Smith Lopp

Eloise Smith Lopp, age 91, passed away Wednesday morning March 16, 2016 at her home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Elizabeth Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:45 pm prior to the service. Eloise was born in Davidson County January 18, 1925 to James Paul Smith and Mary Williams Smith. She was a retired nurse having worked with Smith/Lohr Clinic and Dr. Bill Bingham. She was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 69 years, Clifford Jacob “Cliff” Lopp in 2014 a granddaughter, Lori DeLynn Lopp Floyd; her sister, Daphne Smith Brink and brother-in-law Harold Brink. Surviving are sons, James Irvin Lopp, Paul Franklin Lopp (Tammy) and Clifford Jacob Lopp, Jr. (Paula) all of Lexington and John Philip Lopp (Jane) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Katie Leanne Lopp Young (Joseph), Jameson Fitzpatrick Lopp, Keri Denise Lopp Hartle (Casey) and Ashlee Dawn Lopp Snider; great-grandchildren, Jonah Lee Young, Jacob Donevant and Emma Kathryn Hartle; sister, Pauletta Conrad (Lee) of Lexington.
