Eloise Shivar

Mrs. Eloise Warren Shivar, 95, of Carolina House and formerly of Woodsway Drive, died Thursday, January 31 at Thomasville Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 4 at First Baptist Church, by the Revs. Dr. Ray Howell, III and Tommy Wilson. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the church. Mrs. Shivar was born March 27, 1917 in Sampson County to William Henry Warren and Fronie Butler Warren. She retired from Dixie Furniture after 28 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church. Her husband, George Byron Shivar, preceded her in death, as well as her brothers, William Allen Warren, James Edward Warren, Douglas Warren, and Loyd Warren; and her sisters, Odell Turner, Lora Wells and Kathleen Keele. She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Alexander and husband, Hubert, of Lexington, Carol Lamb of Edmond, OK, and Brenda Bost of Spring Hill, TN; her brother, Albert Warren of Grand Prarie, TX; her sister, Lunelle Monette of Maysville; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.
