Elsie Brinkley Fritts, 82, of Welcome, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at Pineridge Rehabilitaiton Center in Thomasville following a six month illness.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Welcome Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Blair and Sergeant Les Ashby officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter on Louya Road.
Mrs. Fritts was born July 11, 1931, in Davidson County, to Fernando Lee Brinkley and Jennie Lee Hinkle Brinkley. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Brinkley, Baxter Brinkley, Renza Brinkley, Walt Brinkley, Joe Brinkley, and Webb Brinkley; sisters, Thelma Daniels and Lala Byerly; and a great-grandchild, Blaise Everhart.
Surviving are her loving husband of 63 years, Paul Baxter Fritts of the home; son, Steve Fritts and wife Gail; daughter, Jenny Waisner and husband Keith; grandchildren, Kristi Everhart and husband Lee, Chad Fritts, Brandon Waisner and wife Tara; great-grandchildren, Noah Everhart, Kalei Everhart, and Oakley Waisner; and sister, Ethel Crowell of Richfield.
