Emma Jean Clodfelter Hunt, 95, of Lexington went home to her Lord on September 13, 2024. She was born January 16, 1929 to Carl and Lucy Clodfelter in Davidson County NC, where she resided her entire life.
Jean retired from PPG Industries of Lexington, where she became one of the first female supervisors in her division. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her good friend Reba Shoaf and exercising with a group of friends, who she enjoyed being with to stay healthy and remain active socially. She was a life-long member of Canaan United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Hunt, Jr., her son, Michael Carl Hunt, two sisters, Evva Zimmerman and Doris Long, two brothers, G. Farrell and Norman Clodfelter, and niece, Donna Speaks. She is survived by one brother, Leland Clodfelter (Hilda), sister-in-law Jean Clodfelter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Canaan United Methodist Church on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 2 o’clock with Rev. Jay Bowers officiating. The family will receive guests from 1:00 to 1:45 PM in the church sanctuary.
The family is grateful for the excellent care at Brookdale of Lexington (Clare Bridge Memory) with special thanks to Lisa, Olicia, Pam, Mary, Jo, and many others who assisted with her care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Canaan United Methodist Church (Cemetery Wall).
