Emma Cooper Mann

December 16, 1911 — August 4, 2014

Emma Cooper Mann, 102, of The Brian Center of Lexington, formerly of Avondale Road, died Monday, August 4, 2014, at the nursing home following a brief illness. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Center Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member with the Revs. Brian Alexander and Bruce Langley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church and other times at the home of her son on Glendale Road. Mrs. Mann was born December 16, 1911, in Davidson County, to William Cicero Cooper and Elenora Craven Cooper. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Spurgeon Blaine Mann, who died in 1984; son, William Hoyle “Bill” Mann; and daughters, Madie Shirlene Harrison ad Faye Nell Mann. Surviving are sons, Harold Mann and wife Evelyn, Bryce Mann and wife Vickie, all of Lexington and Tom Mann of Texas; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Center Hill Baptist Church, General Fund, 3759 NC Highway 8, Lexington, NC 27292; or Church of God of Prophecy, 1500 East Council Street, Salisbury, NC 28146.
