Emma LaRue Smith Robinson, 87, of Roseboro and formerly of Lexington, died Saturday, July 23 at Sampson Regional Hospital in Clinton after an illness of three days. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, July 26 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, by the Rev. Ed Rogers. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Robinson was born January 10, 1929 in Cumberland County to Jessie H. and Lula Sessoms Smith. She retired from Hekman Furniture and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Roseboro. Her husband, Leonidas Robinson, preceded her in death as well as her son, Rocky Robinson, her son-in-law, Bobby Miller, three brothers and a sister. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Greene and husband, Hubert, of Roseboro and Judy Miller of Lexington; one sister, Carol Williams and husband James A.; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren.
