Eric Akers

Eric Thomas Akers, 45, a resident of Welcome, previously of Deltona, Florida passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his residence. Eric was born on July 18, 1976 in Tazewell, VA to Becky and James Akers. He graduated from Seminole Community College with a degree in HVAC Installation and repair. Eric was a hard worker who never knew a stranger. He was well liked and fun to be around. Eric loved his family, especially his children. He enjoyed the beach, music, and was an avid surfer. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home of Lexington.

Eric is survived by his children, Emily and Tyler Akers of Deltona, Florida; his father, James Akers; mother, Becky Akers of Welcome; and a brother Aaron Akers of Welcome.
