Eric Kendall Walser

May 21, 1958 — July 24, 2019

Eric Kendall Walser, age 61 of Meadowview Road, Lexington ended his earthly journey Wednesday morning at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and now is in his permanent home, Heaven.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Welcome with Revs. Avery Varadore and Bobby Shutt officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Eric was born in Davidson County May 21, 1958 to L.V. and Mabel Weaver Walser of Welcome. Eric spent most of his life working in the furniture industry under several different brands, but was so blessed to have spent his last days working with Kepley-Frank Hardwood Company, whose owners and co-workers became our family too. They opened their hearts to make sure Eric’s family was loved and provided for. He was a memberof Lighthouse Baptist Church where he gave his life to the Lord on April 7, 2014. The church has always made sure to provide for God’s family with love and support in any situation, and Eric’s fight with cancer was no different. Eric and Deborah were gifted time before he passed and he asked her to please tell everyone that their love, support and care will be rewarded in heaven one day. As a special friend told us….”My current situation is not my final destination.”He has now reached that final distination…Heaven.

Our God is a mighty and wonderful God, and as we travel this journey that he has set before us, we give him the honor and praise for it all. He now has a pain free body and is eternally praising God in heaven.

His life on earth, and the pain he suffered, was not in vain and we know it was for a purpose so now we wait for God to show us just what that was.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Deborah Cochran Walser; sons, Shane and Sabrina Walser of Midway and their two daughters, Hailey and Taylor, Brent and Meredith Walser of Arcadia and their two sons, Camden and Jackson and Justin Walser and daughter Leila and his fiancé Brittany Lanning and her children Maci and Dakota; brother, Luther Foyle Walser and wife Linda of Welcome and their children Angie and Jonathan Burns and family, Nick and Niki Walser and family; also many precious and loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, neighbors and lifelong friends who meant the world to him.

We are praying you ask God into your heart today so that you may live with him forever in heaven as well, and see Eric again. God Bless you all.
