Ernest Cook

Ernest Sink Cook, 86, of Ernest Cook Road, died at his home on Sunday, March 4, 2018, after an extended illness.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday March 7, 2018 at Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Bob McCaskill. At other times the family will be at the home.            He was born November 16, 1931, in Davidson County, to Charles Ernest Cook and Winnie Conrad Cook.  He retired from Smurfit-Stone  and was a member of Mt Carmel United Methodist Church.    He honorably served his country serving in the US Army stationed in Alaska.  He is preceded in death by two brothers, Rudolph Cook and Robert Cook; and four sisters, Mary Bailey, Dora Parks, Nell Musgrave and Lola Money.  He is survived by his wife, Betty Cook, of the home; his daughter, Debbie Wilkerson of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Lisa Wilkerson of Raleigh, and John Wilkerson and his wife Kaitlyn of Sanford; and one brother John Conrad Cook of Lexington.
