Ernest Burgess "Ernie" Bonner

Ernest Burgess “Ernie” Bonner, age 64, of Cedarwood Drive, Lexington passed away Monday morning, April 30, 2012 at Lexington Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Chapel of First Reformed United Church of Christ, with Rev. June Grubb officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.   The family will greet friends at the church chapel following the church service.   Ernest was born in Mecklenburg County, NC to Ernie Bonner and Lavada Godfrey Bonner.  He was a self employed musician and was well known for his ability as a Jazz pianist. He was preceded in death by his parents.   Ernest is survived by his wife, Sherry Sink Bonner of the home; son, Christopher D.
