Ernestine Davis Shoaf

Ernestine Davis Shoaf, 79, of Lexington, passed away December 21, 2023, at her home in Lexington.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andy Boyer officiating the service. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service.

Ernestine was born August 22, 1944, in Caldwell County, to James Luster Davis and Beulah Bishop Davis. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and was retired as a CNA with Liberty House Nursing Home in Thomasville. Her passion was her faith, family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ernestine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Shoaf who died October 13, 2002, sister, Christine Felts

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Tim Benson (Penny), Mike Benson (Deanna), Todd Benson (Teresa), all of Lexington; daughter, Mechelle (Missy) B. Lopp (Kelly) of Lexington; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, brother, Junior Davis (Joy) of Topsail Island, NC, sister, Gerldine Herring of Thomasville.

The family would like to thank the staff at Well Care/Hospice for their loving care and kindness, Natalie, Kyle, Melissa and Rene.
