Estelle Carter Bell

Estelle Carter Bell, 76, of Britthaven and formerly of Cow Palace Road, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at the nursing home after several years of declining health. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Freedom Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Clyde Akers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bell was born Dec. 21, 1929, in Lenoir to Lehman Fincy Carter Sr. and Sally Stanley Carter. She was a former employee of Haywood-Worth Seating. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lehman Carter Jr. and James Carter, and two sisters, Ruth Carter Holder and Floy Brown. Surviving are four stepgrandchildren, James Sneed, Tyler Sneed, Barbara Long and Lisa Sneed; one brother, Paul Hardy Carter and his wife, Virginia, of Lexington; and one brother-in-law, Sidney Holder of Lexington.
