Estelle Smyly Mckinney

Ada Estelle Smyly McKinney, 98, passed away September 12, 2023 at Brighton Gardens in Winston-Salem.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 23, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Lexington with Rev. Dr. Ray Howell III.  A burial will follow in the Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family will visit with friends following the memorial service.

Estelle was born November 19, 1924, in Alabama, to Judson and Ada Garrison Smyly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Harmon McKinney, along with her sister-in-law, Mary Boyd Hines and brother–in-law Tom Hines.

Left to cherish his memories is her son, Charles Douglas McKinney, grandson, Charles Michael McKinney, and brother, Doug and his wife, Janet Smyly

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to donor’s choice.

Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel will be serving the family.
