Estelle Mize Parks, 84 of Fair Street, Lexington died Friday morning in Lexington Health Care after a brief illness.
Mrs. Parks was born in Davidson County, July 17, 1922, to William James Mize and Bessie Grubb Mize. She was a retired employee of Carolina Manufacturing in Thomasville and a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Lee Mize, Irvin Mize, James “Bill” Mize and Fred “Pete” Mize.
Surviving are her son Paul Parks and wife Vicki of Lexington; grandchildren Allyson Nicole Parks and Joshua Cabe Parks; great-grandchildren Camden Isaiah Burnette and Gavyn Zane Williams; step-granddaughter Miranda Veshell Poole; and sisters Kathleen Picket of Asheboro, Nore Hege, Ethel Leatherman, Elsie Wray and Mildred Koontz and husband Carl all of Lexington.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Billy Joe Leonard officiating.
The family will recieve friends at their respective homes.
