Esther Wyatte Queen

Eva Esther Wyatte Queen, 100 of Sowers Road, Linwood died Sunday morning in Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Mrs. Queen was born in Davidson County on October 3, 1906 to William Wyatte and Mary Eliza Veach Wyatte. She was a homemaker. Her husband, R. Webster Queen preceded her in death on July 20, 1968 and daughters, Martha Amendolea and Peggy Bruce and Stepdaughter, Lois Morefield also preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters Alma Smith of Salisbury and Evyleen Sanders of Greenville, SC, eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Smith Grove Baptist Church where she was a member. The service will be conducted by Rev. Terry Smith. Burial will follow in the Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Smith Grove Baptist Church In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Smith Grove Baptist Church, 3462 Sowers Rd., Lexington, NC 27292
