Ethel Brinkley

Ethel Kiger Brinkley, 78 of Lexington passed away Monday April 12, 2010, at Hinkle Hospice Home. A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday April 15, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Todd Kiger and burial to follow at Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Wednesday night from 6-8 pm and at other times at the home. Mrs. Brinkley was born July 17, 1931 in Rowan County to John Wesley Kiger and Adelia Stewart Kiger. She was retired from Parkdale Mills. Her husband, Grady Lee (G.L.) Brinkley Jr. and a son, Kenneth Wayne Brinkley preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brothers: Odell, Otis, James and Clarence Kiger and sisters, Hazel Martin and Helen Kiger. Surviving are sons: Bobby Brinkley and his wife Maria and Rocky Brinkley and wife Patty all of Lexington; daughters, Vickie Leonard and husband Trent and Kathy Fishel all of Lexington; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; 3 brothers, David Kiger and wife Lila, John Thomas Kiger and wife Wanda all of Lexington and Harold Kiger of Midway; One sister, Margie Sears of Lexington.
