Ethel Allen Faulkner

Mrs. Ethel Allen Faulkner, 77, of Allred Road, died Saturday, August 19 at Hinkle Hospice House.    A funeral service will be held at 4pm Wednesday, August 23 at Bethany United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Benny Clodfelter.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.   Mrs. Faulkner was born September 1, 1939 in Davie County to Spurgeon Allen and Bessie Williams Allen.  She retired from Duracell Battery and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death are her parents, a daughter, Sharon Leigh Faulkner, and her brother in law, Norman Dale.    She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Charles Faulkner, of the home; her daughter, Jennifer Ann Faulkner Sinclair and husband, John Robert, Jr, of Concord; her sister, Nancy Dale of Mocksville; her grandchildren, Reese Katharine Sinclair and John Robert Sinclair III; and numerous nieces and nephews.    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Davidson County, PO Box 1697, Lexington NC 27293.    The family would like to offer special thanks to Larry and Betty Sue Faulkner and Carole Varnadore for their love and support.    Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
