Ethel Hamm

Ethel Burkhart Hamm, 98, of Lexington Health Care, died Monday, February 07, 2011, at the nursing home following a brief illness. A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Little officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter, at 627 Pinecrest Road, Lexington. Mrs. Hamm was born February 27, 1912, in Davidson County, to Guy Edgar Burkhart and Martha Hasseltina Everhart Burkhart. She was a member of Calvary Family Worship Center and Club of the Golden Years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Alfred Hamm. Surviving are daughter, Anna Hughes of Lexington; grandchildren, Chris Hughes and wife, Joyce, Greg Hughes and wife, Wendy, all of Lexington, and Becky Woodhouse and husband, Jim, of Wake Forest.
