Ethel Weavil Jarvis

August 4, 1935 — February 21, 2017

Ethel Jane Weavil Jarvis went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House.  The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Leonard Road Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Tommy Hepler officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 24, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Janie Smith.  Mrs. Jarvis was born August 4, 1935, in Davidson County, to Luther Thomas Weavil and Loretta Warren Weavil. At her church she was a member of the choir and taught children’s Sunday school class. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eugene Jarvis; and sisters, Pansy Wooten and Lucille Link.  Surviving are son, Donnie Jarvis and wife Tina; daughter, Janie Smith and husband Buster of Lexington; grandchildren, Tammy Easter (Chris), Johnny Smith (Tammy), and Crystal Jarvis; step-grandchild, Brittany Andersen; great-grandchildren, Lydia Easter, Michael Easter, Owen Smith and Makenna Smith; brother, Andrew Weavil (Irene) of Lexington; sister, Mary Lou Willard; stepsister, Anna Carol Boyer of Clemmons.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
