Ethel Swing Smith, age 90, formerly of Lexington, died Sunday, November 25 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center in Yadkinville.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. William B. Shrout Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park,
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born June 14, 1922 in Davidson County to Theodore Abraham Swing and Daisy Mae Harrison Swing. She was retired from American Nylon and was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. Her husband, Gilbert Lee Smith, preceded her in death, as well as her brother, Henry Olin Swing, and her sisters, Mary Louise Davis, and Helen Fritts.
She is survived by her daughters, Tamara (Tammy) Smith and husband, Ronnie Williams of Mt. Airy and Robin Kinney and husband, Mike, of Wilmington N.C.; her grandchildren, Rachel Jessup and her significant other, Alexander Milewski, Kristen Kinney, Evan Kinney, and Galen Kinney; and a sister, Esther Freeman of Lexington.
