Etta Mae Hobbs

Etta Mae Edwards Hobbs, 85, of Rockcrusher Rd., Lexington died Saturday in Lexington Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 26, 2007 at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Burt Williams officiating. Mrs. Hobbs was born May 12, 1922 in Galax, VA to Will W. Edwards and Ada Winn Edwards. She retired from Dixie Furniture and was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hobbs; her brothers: Albert, Walter, Melvin, Elvin, Robert, and Clarence Edwards and her sisters, Lena Barnes and Myrtle Allen. Surviving are a brother, Willie F. Edwards of Lexington; a sister, Virginia Owens of Southmont and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 7 PM Sunday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home of her sister, 332 Lloyd Lookbill St., Lexington.
