Ette Lee Conrad

Etta Lee Leonard Conrad, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 90, of Roy Lopp Rd., Lexington passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 in Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Holly Grove Lutheran Church with Rev. Anna Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 till 10:45 am at the church prior to the service. Mrs. Conrad was born February 18, 1931 in Davidson County to Charles Clifton Leonard and Ollie Conrad Leonard, preceding her in death, also her husband, Carl Felton Conrad and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Cecil. Etta was a lifelong member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church where she was the church organist for 47 years. After she retired from Holly Grove she continued to play for other churches. She played in the hand bell choir, she was the director of the youth choir and a member of the Ladies AGAPE Circle, and adult Sunday school class. She worked at The Cube DCCC as a cashier and also as a waitress at Southern Lunch. Left to cherish her memory is a son, Charles Conrad (Peggy) of Lexington; two daughters, Debbie Frank (Herbert), Amy Horn (Jim) both of Lexington; three grandchildren, Lori Frank-Cecil (Keith), Steven Frank (Melissa), Mandy Lawrence (Shane); and three great grandchildren, Kayleigh Frank, Kameron Cecil and Kate Cecil.
