Eugene Cooper

Eugene Standford (Red) Cooper, age 78 of S. NC Hwy 150, Lexington died Monday, June 9, 2008 at his residence after several years of declining health. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Churchland Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Howell IV officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery. Mr. Cooper was born February 3, 1930 in Davidson county to Russell Cooper and Martha Tesh Cooper. A retired Manager of a Pit Stop Convenience Store, he was a member of Churchland Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Gloria McBride, March 2, 2001, two brother, Russell Greer Cooper, Homer Cooper, and two sister, Avery Hedrick and Agnes Holler. Surviving are wife, Louise Davis Cooper of the home, a son, Earl Cooper and wife, Tina of Linwood, a daughter, Rita Caudle and husband, Lee of Lexington, and two grandchildren, Lori Caudle and Eric Caudle The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home.
